NovaBridge Biosciences is committed to supporting rigorous independent research that advances scientific understanding and enhances the development of novel therapeutic approaches. Our Externally Sponsored Research (ESR) program provides a pathway for external investigators and institutions to pursue research initiatives that explore important scientific questions related to NovaBridge’s investigational assets and areas of therapeutic interest.
Types of Externally Sponsored Research
The NovaBridge ESR program supports clinical or preclinical studies that are designed and led by external investigators and research institutions. Our program includes:
» Investigator-Initiated Trials (ITT)
Unsolicited research proposals initiated and conducted by an external investigator or institution. NovaBridge may provide support in the form of study drug, research materials, or funding based on availability and program alignment.
» Collaborative Research
Studies where external investigators lead the research, and NovaBridge provides additional scientific collaboration — which may include support with study design, protocol development, data analysis, or contribution to publications — in addition to material or financial support.
All studies supported through the ESR program are conducted independently by the sponsoring investigator or institution, under appropriate ethical and regulatory standards.
Who Can Apply
We welcome proposals from qualified investigators and institutions, including academic researchers, nonprofit research organizations, and clinical research groups, whose work aligns with NovaBridge’s scientific focus and therapeutic goals.
Submission Process
NovaBridge encourages submission of research proposals.
» Proposal Submission
Investigators should prepare a detailed study proposal that includes:
- Scientific rationale and objectives
- Study design and methodology
- Study timelines
- Statistical considerations
- Investigator qualifications
- Budget estimates, if applicable
- Supporting documentation (e.g., CVs)
» Initial Concept
If early feedback would be desired, NovaBridge will accept a one page high-level concept prior to preparing a full proposal.
» Review Process
Proposals are reviewed by NovaBridge scientific leadership based on scientific merit, relevance to NovaBridge’s research priorities, feasibility, and resource availability. Decisions regarding support and next steps are communicated to investigators following review.
» Agreements
If a proposal is selected for support, terms and conditions — including the scope of support and responsibilities of each party — will be formalized in a written research agreement.
Investigator Responsibility
Investigators retain full responsibility for the design, implementation, conduct, data analysis, reporting, and compliance of the research under applicable laws and standards. NovaBridge’s support does not transfer regulatory sponsorship or oversight obligations to NovaBridge.
Intellectual Property
NovaBridge retains all right, title, and interest in and to any intellectual property used or generated in connection with research and development activities relating to its drug candidates.
